Plastic Free Challenge - Day 8

Today's challenge is to "watch a CBC Waves of Change plastic-free video". Waves of Change is a CBC series exploring the single-use plastic we're discarding, and why we need to clean up our act. You can be part of the community discussion by joining their Facebook group.

Here are a few videos and news segments that we watched during our Happy Ocean Community group meetings:
-Land and Sea: Ocean Devotion
-CBC Waves of Change: Plastic Free Moncton
-Waves Of Change: Plastic Alternatives
-Single-use plastics, and what you can do
-Waves of Change: Zero Waste
-Waves of Change: (Almost) plastic-free for a month

As well, here is a collection of Waves of Change articles:
-Waves of Change articles
-Islanders tackle plastic waste problem in 'Waves of Change' public forum
-Islanders already making switch away from plastic bags
-What's SUP, anyway? Here's what you need to know about single-use plastics
-Four incredible works of art inspired by Waves of Change
-How one P.E.I. farm is trying to go green, despite the cost

The Plastic Bag Reduction Act comes into effect on July 1, 2019, making PEI the first province to ban the bags, commonly referred to as checkout bags.
