Today's challenge is to "download Random Acts of Green free phone app". Random Acts of Green is a social enterprise whose mission is simple, yet ambitious: to educate, entertain, engage, and empower the public to participate in more sustainable behaviour, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and combat climate change.

RAOG is a behavioural change agency that has built an innovative social brand community dedicated to encouraging and motivating people to choose #greener behaviours. They provide products, services and specific tools to help both individuals and organizations participate in “Random Acts of Green”. They believe that sustainability is NOT just for “tree huggers” hippies, or protestors – and have set out on a mission to prove it!


The Random Acts of Green mobile app rewards people for participating in “Acts of Green”. It provide individuals with a range of behavior-based approaches that reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions that harm our planet. The app quantifies the amount of greenhouse gas emissions reduced by each Act of Green. Every act is assigned a “Green Point” value. RAOG partners with sponsors who provide real world discounts on products/services or “gifts” for redeeming their “Green Points”.

31 Day Plastic Free Challenge

Many of our Happy Ocean community group members have been participating in an informal plastic free challenge for the month of April. It was so insightful and life-changing for many that we decided to create a challenge for others to join us for the month of May. With our group's collective efforts and ideas we present to you the “31-Day Plastic Free Challenge" - May 2019 edition. This is meant to be a fun way to learn, engage in plastic-free actions, and make conscious choices each day that help protect our beautiful oceans (and planet).
